I joined The Star in 1989, and was a reporter
and sub-editor for the features section of the newspaper, Section 2 (since renamed StarTwo) for six years. I left The Star in 2005 to spend more time with my family. That was when I was freelancing. I returned to The Star in August 2007 when I joined the New Media desk, working closely with the News desk. In December 2008 I transferred to the New Media Dept where I was put in charge of developing The Star's new portal for parents - named ParenThots. I also have a football blog - SpotKick.net.
